I have 2 goals for today. They are to shower and to go to Starbucks. In all reality, I only have one goal (Starbucks) but feel I need to accomplish the one before I can proceed with the other.
If not for myself than for the people around me.
Ironically, these are the same goals I set for myself yesterday, only to find Starbucks was closed, due to the holiday.
Today may not prove any more successful given the fact that it, too, is a holiday in certain Canadian provinces. It's a relatively new holiday and, based on the provinces that celebrate said holiday (Including, but not limited to, Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan), I'm guessing it was created to give people a much needed reprieve from having to go out in the bitter cold and go to work. You know... so we don't all move south, develop Seasonal Affective Disorder or, most likely, uprise and revolt.
Yes, today is a holiday known as Family Day. Right... so the day after the world celebrates being a relationship it only makes sense that they then celebrate all the babies they've spawned as a result of said relationship. *super*
Clearly February was desinged with single girls like me in mind.
The good news is... it's a short month. And I've got a day off work and I have absolutely no complaints about that.
Regardless of the reason.

me : meh.

her : why are you back so quickly?
me : Dood. The line is out the door, every person in line is wearing Lululemon, and they're playing Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven".
her : GET BACK IN THERE!
