It's The Agony and the Ecstasy, it's a biographical novel of Michaelangelo I meant to read before my trip but only got halfway through. Too bad, too, as now there are a lot of things I'd like to have seen while I was there. Oh well, guess I'll just have to go back ;)
PS... it's a very good, albeit long, novel
PPS... I just discovered, today, that there's a movie version of the book. Dammit! lol
Ah, but the movies are never as good as the book... ;)
